Meet our wellie wearers...
We are self employed and fortunate to spend the majority of our time working from home with a flexible timetable which allows us to work and play in the garden.
Russ
I moved to Wales when I was ten years old and have lived and travelled around the country. I love being in the outdoors and enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits. I think it is important to know where your food comes from and take pleasure in helping to produce our own fruit and veg. I recently started keeping bees and can often be found in my shed attempting to teach myself to build things with wood (when I am not being dragged out to dig holes).
Karen
I landed in Wales to go to University and then met Russ and some years later here I am still! I have been passionate about what I eat and where it comes from for a long time now, so along with my devotion to keep-fit, I have taken to gardening like a duck to water (sort of). As a result I am Chief Gardener. I also have a long-standing interest in trying to be environmentally sustainable so I am usually the one dabbling with eco-home solutions such as making our own cleaning products. Last but not least I am a Mum.
The Kids
Our three kids aged 8, 2 and 9 months in end of 2013 usually enjoy helping in the garden and around the house. They love harvesting what we have grown, building bird boxes and eating mud.
Our Campsite
In 2016 we went looking for a small field to buy so that our pigs and chickens could be kept on our own land. After months of asking around we did indeed find a suitable spot, the only problem was the farmer was also selling his ten year old tipi site in the field next door. You've guessed it!!! We now own and have spent a year doing up a wonderful glamping site with tipis, bell tents and yurts. It has been a lot of work but wow - it looks amazing and you can read about our adventures here as we run the site or better still, visit!]
